Cleaning foams: increasingly appreciated…
The cosmetic also has its modes, in this moment the hour is with cleaning foam. An in-depth cleaning is essential. But, as in general the skin of the face is cleaned twice a day, as far as possible it should be removed of the make-up and the impurities with the most possible softness. • My council: when the skin is very dry, leave side of time to other the cleaning of the face of the morning by using only one tonic lotion. The less you degrease a dry skin, the better it regenerates yourselves. |
Surface-active employees are they really soft?
In cleaning foams the detergents employed are the surface-active ones. With water, these surface-active represents the major part of the end product. These surface-active, or “washing bases”, clean and form a foam and, this, each one with their way.
• There exist the surface-active soft ones or very irritants for the skin. This is also worth for the Bio cosmetics or natural for which different surface-active are authorized.
• All the surface-active ones authorized are certainly natural origin, but they are not all of an equal softness. The manufacturers thus have the choice.
• In theory in fact mixtures of surface-active are used. If such a mixture does not contain the surface-active ones with irritating potential, the consumer can be sure to use soft product cleaning. So surface-active the more irritating is employed in great majority it cannot be sure about it.
• In the following products the surface-active ones are underlined.

Which is the softness of the washing bases? The acylglutamates gain the palm of softness. Such surface-active still is probably employed very little because their high price: in comparison 1 kg from lauryl sulfate (substance activates) which costs approximately 2,60 €€, 1 kg of acylglutamate costs approximately 20,00 €. • In this foam two surface-active are employed: the disodium cocoyl glutamate and sodium cocoyl glutamate. With that surface-active soft containing sugar is added, a renewable resource. Fourth surface-active, employed in less quantity, is of an average softness and contributes to the foaming effect. Active substances: ingredients dermo-guards and alleviating play a big role in this product. The principal ingredient (after water) is the hydrating glycerin. With that are added the polyglyceryl-10 laurate (in fourth position of list INCI) and three interesting extracts of plants (aloe will vera, extracted from bamboo and an extract from algae) ensure the care of the skin. |

Which is the softness of the detergent substances? The surface-active employees are two surface-active soft and of renewable resource (containing sugar). Active substances: in fourth position of list INCI positions hydrating glycerin. The arginine, an amino-acid, brings a good cutaneous comfort. • In this product the presence of floral water of melissa and essential bois de rose oil is developed. A floral water is, as the name indicates it, a vegetable water. The product does not contain an extract of plant of quality higher than floral water. Even the mention of an essential oil is not very convincing because the certified products contain some generally always as a perfume without they not being quoted in a specific way. |

Which is the softness of the washing bases? The mixture of surface-active is rather soft, but the chemical composition of surface-active is not the best. The cocamidopropyle betain contains petrochemical derivatives. The petrochemical derivatives would owe beings prohibited in cosmetic natural and bio certified. According to Ecocert certification this surface-active is however authorized. Certification “cosmetic naturalness controlled” of the BDIH' does not authorize it. The third surface-active one is containing sugar. Active substances: “Bo foams cleaning contains natural extracts of plants as the aloe will vera… “can one read on packing. • Does it act several extracts? If one looks at there more closely one notes that in seventh position of list INCI the aloe is will vera. Front, in third position, one finds mentha piperita (mint)? The mentha piperita (mint) was it employed like extracts or floral water? Normally this should appear in the declaration. Here it is not the case since the manufacturer declares only mentha pipertita and not, as it would have, mentha piperita extract or mentha piperita toilets. • On the note of this foam, one can read: “with the floral mint water and the aloe will vera”. Thus this product contains finally one extract of plants and not several as packing suggests it. |

Basic components/active substances |
Which is the softness of the washing bases? The surface-active main thing is ammonium lauryl sulfate, a component of synthesis rather irritant. Three the other surface-active ones are amphoacetate group and sarcosinate and are comparatively softer. Active substances: a positive point is the presence in rather great quantity of hydrating glycerin. To obtain a feeling of soft skin a product resulting from the hydroxypropylisation is employed. This chemical process is connected with ethoxylation. • Contrary to Ecocert, certification “cosmetic naturalness controlled” of the BDIH authorizes neither ammonium lauryl sulfate like surface-active, nor the hydroxypropyl guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride. • The ingredients the least employed are always located at the end of the list INCI. Here they are three extracts of plants. |

76,8% of the total of the ingredients result from the organic farming, can one read on the product. If one studies this percentage in a more precise way, one notes that: • On the first 22 ingredients of the product, 19 are not 100% natural except two floral water and Aqua (water). Designation “ingredient resulting from the organic farming” of this product thus relates to 2 ingredients out of 19. • The three extracts of plants (extracted from blackberry, apricot and plum) contents in this product are present in minimal quantities. They appear in end of list INCI. On the other hand they play the first part in publicity since the three extracts are proposed on packing. |

Basic components/active substances |
Which is the softness of the washing bases? The surface-active one used is rather soft. It contains however an emulsifier ethoxyl like a little polluting silicone. Active substances: this product contains many hydrating substances, alleviating, protective and treating. Among them a good proportion of hydrating glycerin, the butylene glycol, one hydrating of synthesis, of cafeine supporting blood circulation, several extracts (extracted from algae, extract of nut of cola, extract of gorgone of the Caribbean) and of the hyaluronic acid hydrating. To note in a negative way: a quaternium like conditioner. |
